Theri There: a comic by, for, and about therianthropes and otherkin.
Saer: Foundation of the Firmament.
Genre: fantasy, science fiction.
Status: Completed.
Date: March 19, 2004.
Description: A short illustrated story transcribed from a dream I had. Made in 12 hours in a rush of inspiration.
Watermaps.
Genre: Children's educational fantasy.
Status: Complete.
Date: November 1997?
Description: One of my classes asked that we do a presentation about different geographical forms of shorelines. Most people did group projects in front of class or using video recorders, but I chose to do mine as a comic book. It was my own fancy that this was shown as a presentation be performed by some young merpeople, with an electric eel running a holographic projector. Everything else is done, but the coloring job was unfinished because I ran into the deadline.
Matte Black: Adventures in Monochrome.
Genre: science fiction, space opera, high fantasy.
Status: Completed. (Currently down; need to set up new pages for it.)
Date: October 12, 2001.
Description: A 24-hour comic (24 pages of comic completed in 24 hours) showing the physically impossible adventures of some alien kids in outer space. Now digitally remastered: nothing has been redrawn, but I've adjusted the contrast... some scenes were too dark to be legible.
The Adventures of Dareka.
Genre: Sword-and-sorcery fantasy manga.
Status: One issue complete; series abandoned. (Currently down; need to re-scan images.)
Date: September 1999 to June 2000 for first issue.
Description: An embarassingly clichéd story based heavily on Dungeons & Dragons, in which a cynical half-elf thief explores strange places, meets peculiar and irritating people, and uncovers her mysterious ancestry. 90% of the story is just in my mind, though, as I tended not to write anything down. I was obsessed with it for a couple years, my sole creative project. I eventually became aware of the story's unsolvable flaws, and decided I'd best work on other projects. The only tangible part of the series is a prelude issue. Lesson: focus on producing tangible results of a project; even if it's flawed, at least it would be there.
